WFJ: DO WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO TURN AWAY?
We have the right to turn away from a painful situaion without feeling guilty for not being spiritually prepared to handle the issue at that time provided that we are honest with ourselves as to why and refuse to be condemned for this decision. Our own hearts have to be steady before we can steady someone else.
There are times when we do not have words to comfort another who is in pain and yet the pain of our heart doesn’t allow us to express our feelings giving them to know where we are. We do have a source of help for ourselves as well as for others in need. That hotline to God by Holy Spirit is a direct line and source of help when we tell Him of what is happening. It isn’t that He doesn’t know, but it is the fact that we are inviting Him to be a part of what is happening in our life as well as the person or persons we are praying for. When invited to enter into the situations and circumstances of our lives He then has our permission to interven exercising control where there was none.
Where God is invited to be a integral part of our lives here on earth He will take the most horrendous of situations and create absolute difficult to believe miracles to occur in our midst that we can not explain.
He does not ask us to do more than take our time, be still, ask Him for what we need, believe that He greatly wants to be a part of our lives and trust Him to do what He says in His Word that He will do. So simple!
Simple as it may be, there are so few who will commit, be determined, to create this two-way communication with our Heavenly Father, who waits with a grieving heart because those He created to be His own children turn their back on Him and even blame Him for being the cause of the troubles we experience here on earth. God has given to us all that He has to give, even to denying Himself the right to help His children in need, UNLESS they invite Him to intervene. He gave us FREE WILL. HE WILL NOT OVER RIDE our right to go it alone even to withdrawing from Him if this is our will. Selah.
